Monday Morning Millionaire: A Rare Chance to Live on Daria Drive, Hang Out With the Former Prez…

Share News:

Talk about a rare opportunity, here is a chance to live behind those pearly gates on the Darias and rub shoulders with George and Laura on the Fourth of July (if he’s not at the ranch) and trick or treat chez Bush come October. Talk to another Realtor and they will tell you that having a former prez as a neighbor beefs up your property value big time. I recall talking to Houstonian Bob Hale  a few years ago – super nice Realtor and broker who told me in no uncertain terms that having a president as a neighbor and the added security does NOTHING but increase your property value. And if you will recall,  tax dollars paid for the gate after City Council approval — in May 1993, after Bush’s father President H.W. Bush left office, our Legislature passed a bill that allows cities to restrict access to streets “on which the former president of the United States is located.” That explains why most of the Bush house hunting was restricted to cul de sacs. So yeah, buy this and maybe President Obama will snap it up next!

I like the house. 10212 Daria Drive is an all one level traditional home with contemporary touches nestled on three quarters of an acre. (As Baby Boomer age, these one story ranches are going to be in high demand.) Every surface has been modernized, great baths, knock-out kitchen, open floor plan, three living areas ripe for entertainment. The 4392 square foot home is full of natural light with four bedrooms, three and a half baths. The setting is serene and loaded with mature trees, rich lawn, outdoor kitchen with fireplace and a sparkling back-yard swimming pool and with cabana.

The house is so unassuming on the facade, but once you walk inside, you know you've stepped into a very livable and beautiful home. The kitchen is my favorite part for it's openness and it's modern amenities.

the house seems nice, I wonder how bad the noise is being backed up to the Tollway. There was a nice nearly 1 acre lot for sale on Daria Place not too long ago, wonder if it ever sold.

the tollway noise is horribly bothersome when you're trying to enjoy the backyard, and the cost and trouble of mowing all that grass….!!

I knew this wouldn't last for long on the market. It's already under contract.
