I Dreamed My Next Home Was Within Walking Distance of Highland Park Village. Well, the Best Buy in Highland Park Just Got Better…

Many of you are too young to remember the Maidenform commercials: “I Dreamed I Did… the Dishes in My Maidenform Bra”. (Or did something.) It was a 1950’s/1960’s lingerie ad campaign that I saw on TV when I was in utero- ha! The Maidenform Bra print and tv ads featured a woman wearing her lingerie, her bra, in public doing something. The bras looked like torpedos, of course, which I thought had something to do with the Cold War. Of course, this was also pre-“everyone having implants” days.

But I did dream, just the other day, in fact, that my next home would be within walking distance of Highland Park Village. Why? Because the shops are fabulous, and it has everything you need in life: Starbucks, a movie theater, Celebrity bakery, and Tory Burch… Hermes… Ralph Lauren… Jimmy Choo. Oh yes, Williams Sonoma. But I digress. So as of late, I have my eyes on homes within 1/2 mile of HPV.

Now comes word that 4428 Edmondson, which I have told you about before, has been not only reduced but CHOPPED to $1,175,000. This Tudor charmer may even recall the Maidenform commercials: she was born in 1930, has 3454 square feet, a pool, and is located on a historic block built by architect Fonzie E. Robertson. Kiddos? This is your big chance to get into Bradfield Elementary. Has our angel been updated? Oh yes, as many times as I’ve had Botox:  try a 6-burner Viking range, over-sized den with a bar featuring a sub-zero wine closet with refrigeration drawers, and more. Now she’s down to $1,175,000 a massive, massive reduction, from $1,250,000. I’d say it’s time to go get a torpedo bra and make an offer!

Southwestern Medical Center, Love Field, Turtle Creek, Inwood Village, the North Dallas Tollway, “Central Dog Park”, and everything on Lemmon Ave. Recall that for me my perfect retirement home will be within walking distance of Highland park Village.
