Dallas County Property Taxes Are Due TOMORROW: Are You Paying by Check or Credit Card?

The DCAD website is as slow as molasses today, and I’m on a ten minute hold with the tax office “due to high call volume.” It’s time to pay the property taxes and yes, I waited till the day before the very end. Property taxes are due tomorrow by midnight. I’m curious how many of you pay your taxes by check or credit card? If you are escrowed, chances are your taxes were paid by Dec. 31. That means Dallas County got free use of your money for a month.

Texas Gas Exec Buys Val Kilmer Pecos River Ranch in New Mexico, Once Owned by Greer Garson

This is a sign the market MUST be coming alive, even in slow as molasses Santa Fe: Val Kilmer has finally sold most of his  5,328-acre Pecos River ranch.

The deed transfer was filed Sept. 30 with the San Miguel County Clerk’s Office. Kilmer transferred the bulk of the property to Midland residents Benjamin A. Strickling III and his wife, Roxann. There was no mortgage filed with the documents, according to San Miguel County Clerk Melanie Rivera, which means Strickling likely paid cash and bought about 141 acres.
