Breaking Dallas News: About That Texas-Sized Welcome for Khloe and Lamar Odom at Shawn Marion’s Manse: It’s Been Postponed-Rescheduled
And for good reason, too, due a serious illness in the family of one of the three players being honored: Lamar, Vince Carter and Delonte West. (I’m not saying who out of respect for the family, and we hope hope hope the ailing party gets well very soon!) The bash set for this Thursday, given by Mavericks Player Shawn Marion and Linda & Simmie Cooper, has been rescheduled to early February at Shawn’s 12,000 square foot home on Isabella Lane. Yep, that’s the one with the big bathtub I was frolicking in a long time ago! The home was built by Simmie Cooper, one of the areas hottest builders, and I had the priviledge of touring it when it was listed by Kari Schlegel now Kloewer. Full disclosure: I squatted there. Listed originally at $5,995,000 it was reduced to $4,999,000 and sales price “Z’d” out but I heard Shawn paid less than 75% of the original list price. After seeing this totally WOW house, I couldn’t resist one more option for our new transplants. And I retact my earlier statement that Mack Hicks’ unit at 2604 is the most expensive lease at the W. Homes are just like what my father used to say about boyfriends and streetcars: another one comes along in 30 minutes and then it’s even pricier. This is a two-story unit, 2509, is on the 25th floor, but oh wow, what a beauty. Captivating panoramic views from every room, balconies overlook Victory Park, Calatrava Bridge, and downtown Dallas. Extra spectacular features include Crestron Audio Visual System, elegant mother of pearl & suede entry w LED lighting, tooled leather columns, warm suede walls, art lighting, hip Euro kitchen. 3779 square feet, only two bedrooms but three baths! This unit leases for $9500 and just went on… could be fabulous timing. Really.

Who Is Khloe Kardashian’s Dallas Real Estate Agent Today?
Joseph Gulloto? Allie Beth Allman? Alan Peppard (you have to subscribe, but here goes) says she took her grand daughter and the Andrews grandaughters down to show Khloe some W condos this weekend and got mic’ed up for the show, little girls and all. He also says Khloe and Lamar have leased Mack Hicks two-bedroom unit, #2604, pictured here, for $7500 a month. Allie Beth is the listing agent. It’s the most expensive lease at The W. Apparently it was once a three bedroom, but was converted to a two bedroom for more living-entertainment space: a playroom with stainless steel wet bar, wine fridge, custom wine rack, ice machine, and media wiring for audio visual system were put in. Nice.

Dallas Real Estate News: Here’s Where I Hear Khloe and LamLam Are Going to Land, In Uptown, at The W
At first they wanted the Residences at the Ritz Carlton, but they couldn’t find a three bedroom condo to lease for just one year. So now word is that agent to the stars Allie Beth Allman, who I hear now tweets to keep up with Khloe, is helping the newcomers ink a deal at the W. Not sure which penthouse just yet, but I’d venture to say 2801 looks good, because it’s finished out (not a shell like a few of the remaining units over there) and has four bedrooms 4.2 baths, boasts 9285 square feet so the whole Kardashian gang can come in for Thanksgiving. (Khloe: Celebrity caters!) The unit is held by Encore Holdings and is the former home of Jonas Woods, remember him, who sold it in September of 2009 for $9,950,000 or $900 a square foot. Dang, remember those days? (Saw it in MLS, but I don’t believe it, I had heard closer to $6 million. But Carolyn Shamis, God rest her soul, is dead and I cannot call her!)
House Hunting for the Rich and Famous in Big D: Are Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom Buying in Dallas?
Every Realtor in Dallas is thrilled that Lamar Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend. Why? Surely the young couple is going to need a Dallas pad — either a super sleek condo to crash when they are in town, or a home where they can nest and maybe get started on making Kris a grandmother again. I recall one episode when Kris was house hunting with Khloe back in LA, and she seemed to favor sprawling Mediterranean. At least, that’s what Kris liked FOR Khloe. Based on that episode, and what I know about her, let me suggest these listings:
