Well, you could, but the wine cellar is a way more telling spot. First of all, an empty wine cellar usually means no one lives in the house except for a Castle Keeper. Ain’t no way a Castle Keeper is going to be drinking red wine. Secondly, when you move, you take the good wine with you and drink the rest secretly after dark. Third — and most vitally — who can afford wine when they are struggling to make a house payment?

    Hopefully the builder actually knew what he/she was doing and made the room climate controlled. Such a shame to see some homes with pretend “cellars” that are not properly constructed to preserve a nice collection. Perhaps that’s why the cellar is empty, they had to drink it all fast! 😉
