On the Street Where You Live: Hopefully, Drexel — How Important is A Street Name?

I have always wanted to live on Drexel Drive. Something about that name sounds so classy, elegant. That may be why I am in love with this nicely-priced home — for the Park Cities -about a block south of Mockingbird on what I call the “affordable” Drexel: $1.725. About a block south of Mockingbird, walk to S.M.U. We have friends who live in the multi-million dollar Drexel, the curvy part to the west that mimics St. Johns. I think if you live ANYWHERE on Drexel the name of the street just rings out and rolls right off your lips (which are perfectly painted, Juvadermed): “My address is 3203 DREXEL.

Do you say “Drexel” or “Drexel Drive”?

This baby doll is 4925 square feet built in 2000, so pretty new. You get four bedrooms, four and a half baths, two dining and three living areas — that would be living room, study and family room.

There is also a wonderful loaded patio and pool, which I feel like jumping into right about now. The lot is your typical Park Cities sized piece of heaven, and I love the master with a separate sitting room (could be an office or exercise room) and huge, delicious master bath with oodles of closet space.

My daughter looked at a house built in the 1950′s and asked me if we had any clothes when I was a child — she cannot fathom how people lived with such small little closets!

This home has well-thought out closets and everything. Even a street with a perfect name!
