Breaking Dallas Real Estate News: We Have A New Hot Property – Joanna!
Share News:
Meet Joanna England: blogger, writer and brand-spanking-new mom. Get used to seeing her name and byline here on CandysDirt.com, because this gal knows a thingee or two about real estate, is a seasoned blogger and writer (Bubble Life, People Newspapers, Dallas Morning News), and will be contributing to this blog daily. As you know, there are a million real estate stories in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and I cannot cover all of them.
But WE can.
BTW, got a great story real estate story for us to cover? House P? Send it to Joanna at [email protected]. (Just give us a few days to get it running.)
And just so you can feel like you know her a little better…
CD: So Jo, are you a native Dallas gal?
JE: I wish! I’m from the north Houston suburbs, namely a little town called Conroe. It’s sandwiched between Lake Conroe and the San Jacinto river, so you can imagine how humid it is. I do not miss the climate!
CD: What part of town do you live in?
JE: My husband and I fell in love with the White Rock Lake area, and have been calling East Dallas home for about five years now.
CD: What do you love about it?
JE: The lake, of course. We are very outdoorsy people, and we love to walk, jog, and cycle around White Rock Lake. It’s a great place to check out some amazing homes, too!
CD: What’s your dream neighborhood in Dallas? Why?
JE: Definitely the Cloisters. It’s practically on the lake, and has a great mix of architectural styles.
CD: Ideal home and design style (you don’t look like a Mediterranean gal to me…)
JE: You’ve got that right! We lived in Junius Heights for a short time, and I learned so much about Arts and Crafts architecture. Big front porches and clean lines make my heart skip a beat!
CD: If you could buy a second home, where might that be???
JE: Key West, Fla., which is perhaps my favorite place on the planet. Runner up is Estes Park, Colo.
Yay, I love it! Congratulations Joanna, and best of luck to you — you're going to be terrific!

She's saving me a facelift from all these long nights at the computer — ha! — and now someone will maybe catch all my five million typos! (You will note she's NOT a blonde!) So excited to have Joanna on board!

Welcome Joanna. Know the Conroe area myself. Lived in Cypress in the 80's (went to Cy-Fair High) and I agree, that's one thing I don't miss about that area of the state, the humidity. So brutal on the hair.
