Moving On Up: Strength of Market Means White Rock Marathon Move for M-Street Reactors

Good Monday morning! Lots of news to report today, most of it Realtor news in Dallas’ high-stakes broker biz. We heard that Ellen Terry has left Ebby Halliday for Briggs Freeman Sothebys. (Stay tuned for more on that.) Well, here’s more proof that dirt east of Central is not only outpacing the sluggish national real estate market, but highly sought after territory. The largest real estate office east of Central Expressway is moving and getting bigger digs! The corner of McKinney and Monticello on the Katy Trail will be home to Keller Williams Dallas City Center on January 31st.

“The future site is the perfect location to fulfill the namesake of Keller Williams Dallas City Center,” Team Leader Kevin Caskey said. “We will truly be in the center of it all!”

Agents find out about the move this morning, but a few have already had a sneak peek. “They called a meeting of our agency leadership council,” Realtor Danni Hanna said. “When we arrived, they said we’re going on a field trip, drove us over to 3100 Monticello and said this is where we’re moving! I looked around and started getting exited. I like change, change is good!”

There is more efficient and functional office space, a much larger training center and more high tech features.

“We also have room to expand as we continue to grow,” Caskey said.

KW Dallas City Center agency has been around for over a decade. Not only are they known for superior service, they also know how to have fun. Those of you worried about missing out on the great patio parties, have no fear. “The entertaining and events will continue,” Caskey said. “There are large common areas in the building and a highly functional floor plan that will allow great space for guests.”

“It’s a very exciting and important move for us,” said agent Juliette Bouchard said. “Not only will we have a great space, it’s a great location for our market center.”

“We’re proud of the diversity of our agents and their ability to successfully adapt to any market,” Caskey said. “This move aligns with that concept. We continually strive to elevate our agents to their next level of success. This move is just one of the vehicles that will help us do that”.

The new Keller Williams Dallas City Center will be at 3100 Monticello, Suite 200, 75205.

I'm surprised that KWDCC is vacating East Dallas. So who does that leave with offices East of Central (EOC)? Just Ebby and Prudential? And NG? With the market in East Dallas being as strong as it is, why wouldn't more broker owners choose to put down roots here? I know there are more agents like me who feel strongly about officing on the side of central where we do the most work…

      Hello Kerry,

Dallas City Center originated in Mockingbird Station so moving 50 feet across 75 on an M-Street makes us still feel like we are at home and connected to our East Dallas Roots. We agressively explored the limited office space all over East Dallas but this was the closest to our current space at about 1 mile away and made the most sense financially. We are a company that makes decisions based on our agents needs and wishes so it is an exciting move for the agents at Keller Williams Dallas City Center.

Hey Kevin, no slam on you was intended by my response to Karen's article. It's more of a commentary on the state of broker opinion regarding East Dallas. I know you wouldn't have made the decision if a majority of your agents weren't in favor of it. So it's definitely good news for DCC and it's agents.

I'm just a fierce champion for East Dallas and I wish more brokerages would recognize the opportunity here. I think the consumer on this side of town deserves it. There's something to be said for being a part of the community in which you work. The office on Greenville and Morningside was a big reason why I chose to hang my license with Prudential.

Now if only there was more than Ebby as a viable office located within Lake Highlands, THAT would be interesting…
